The prevalence of uterine fibroids presents a considerable health obstacle for women of all races. Those with fibroids frequently suffer from pelvic pain, frequent urination, anemia, infertility, miscarriage, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Despite its widespread occurrence, uterine fibroids are underfunded and under-discussed in the medical community, leaving women with limited options for treatment.
To encourage women to speak with their OB/GYN about getting an updated screening for uterine fibroids and the best treatment options to protect their health, we are offering a Self-Care Fair. Please join us for FREE food & giveaways (while supplies last), FREE kids haircuts, vendors, screenings, music, games, and fun!
The Barbara Jordan Leadership Institute is coordinating this event with the support of CMH Event Center, Fibroid Institute of Texas, and community leaders. The event is family-friendly and FREE for guests to attend.
